Bombay vs. Mumbai

Sometimes friends are surprised when I say Bombay instead of Mumbai. Other times I pepper my conversations with references to the incredible growth and change in Mumbai. Honestly, I think of the city as Bombay. Or lovingly, Bom. But sometimes, when I witness the incredible juxtaposition of how incredibly old Bombay is, and how modern the city of Mumbai can be, it strikes me that there really are two cities here. And it deserves two names. Below, some images that make me call this city Bombay.
